ABOUT
“Furusawa-Tei”, a house of a wealthy farmer, has been watching over the Anyoji village for more than 150 years, and has been reborn as ‘Yukinoya’, a vacation rental.
The “space,” “meals,” and “interaction with local people” of this inn allow you to experience with all five senses the life of the snow country people, who have lived with the snow and made it a part of their daily life.
ROOM
We aim to preserve the original house as much as possible so that our guests can feel the breath of the former inhabitants' life.
You will spend quality and special time in the peaceful atmosphere.
FOOD
Enjoy dishes that can only be tasted here and now, using seasonal, locally grown ingredients. For example, this region, with its abundant source of melted snow water, grows the best rice in Japan, as well as seasonally flavorful vegetables and mushrooms. Fermented and stored foods add depth to the flavor of snow country cuisine.
